EditorialPoster Design
Steve Carell
Student: Morgan Fude
This editorial layout was created as a visual tribute to actor Steve Carell, whose range, personality, and career have made him one of my favorite performers. The design focuses on capturing elements of his character through thoughtful use of typography, texture, and color. Textures were incorporated to add depth and personality to the layout, reflecting the layered nature of Carell’s roles, from comedic to more serious performances. The chosen fonts were selected to complement his on-screen presence, balancing professionalism with approachability. Color also plays an important role in this piece; the layout incorporates Steve Carell’s favorite color to create a more personal connection between the subject and the design. Overall, this artwork demonstrates how editorial layout can be used not just to organize information, but to communicate personality and admiration. The piece emphasizes visual storytelling, showing how design choices can reflect the essence of a public figure while maintaining a cohesive and engaging layout.
