Internships & Professional Experience
Students in the Graphic & Web Design program gain real-world experience through internships with design studios, marketing teams, startups, and nonprofit organizations.
Internships connect classroom learning with professional practice, giving students the opportunity to work with real clients, meet deadlines, and build professional relationships before graduation.

How Internships Work
Earning Credit
Students can earn academic credit for internships completed during the program. Internships are coordinated with faculty to ensure the experience aligns with the student's learning goals.
Finding Opportunities
Faculty maintain relationships with local studios, agencies, and companies and regularly share internship opportunities with students. Many internship opportunities come from organizations connected to the GDES Technical Advisory Committee.
Building Your Network
Internships often lead to freelance work, job offers, or lasting professional relationships. Several GDES alumni were hired by their internship employers after graduation.
